Dear Parents, Friends, Staff and Students
Welcome back to a busy Term Four. Please make sure that you check the Term Planner and messages sent by the school to ensure that you are informed about upcoming events.
I lift up my eyes to the mountains
From where shall come my help?
Our help is from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 120
Staffing News
Exciting news for our Kindy teacher, Saroya Powell! She has been offered a teaching position at St Peter’s Primary School (Bedford), commencing in Term One 2023.
On behalf of our school community, I would like to congratulate Saroya and wish her all the very best for her future. Saroya’s professionalism and expertise will be sorely missed by our school. St Peter’s is going to be very lucky to have you!
Drive-Through and Car Park
Over the holidays, Steve Vajas organised some improvements to our school cross-walk and pathways. The ramps, pathways and line markings are there to ensure the safety of our students and families.
We have a few reminders:
The ‘Keep Clear’ area adjacent to the crosswalk is to be kept clear at all times.
The crosswalk is to be used at all times. Please do not cross the road at any other point.
The footpaths are there for safety reasons. It is extremely dangerous for adults and children to be walking through the carpark behind cars, as they may not be seen when cars are reversing.
October – Month of The Rosary
On Monday 17th October, the children and staff will participate in our annual procession to welcome the Statue of Our Lady, accompanied by the members of the St Francis of Assisi Legion of Mary. We invite our families to join us and spend some time in prayer from 9.00 a.m. in the Sacred Space.
The Month of the Holy Rosary is a special time dedicated to praying the Rosary. Each day classes will say the Rosary with Our Lady in the Sacred Space. On Tuesday, at Pope Francis’ request, we will be joining children across the globe to pray the Rosary, asking God for peace in our world and to pray for our missionary brothers and sisters.
Matthew Gibney Day
We are looking forward to welcoming our grandparents, families and parishioners to our celebrations on Friday 28th October. Please RSVP on the Jotform sent home via SeeSaw this week. Students have prepared a personal invitation for their families, which they will be bringing home this week.
Interschool Athletics Carnival
A reminder that the Interschool Athletics Carnival has been rescheduled for Tuesday 1st November. Students who will be participating in this event have been notified. Permission slips were sent home this week. Please ensure that the permission slips are returned promptly.
Have a great week!
Warm regards
