From Principal – Term 4, Week 6

Dear Parents, Friends, Staff and Students

On Sunday, 20th November, the final Sunday of the Liturgical year, the Church celebrates the Feast of Christ the King. The Feast was established by Pope Pius XI in 1925, to respond to a world that was rejecting Christ. Through the Feast of Christ the King, we hope to bring love and relief to those who suffer, and help proclaim the Good News of the reign of Jesus Christ in the world today. The Season of Advent will commence the week following the Feast of Christ the King.

O Lord our God, You alone are the Most Holy King and Ruler of all nations.
We pray to You, Lord, in the great expectation of receiving from You, O Divine King, mercy, peace,
justice and all good things.
Protect, O Lord our King, our families and the land of our birth.

Children’s Liturgy

CHILDREN’S LITURGY is held during the 9.30am Mass each Sunday at St Francis of Assisi church, and is for children from Pre-Primary to Year 4.  The children hear the Gospel story at their level and then follow with an activity.  Please bring your child to the hall before mass.  They will then return to the Church after the Prayers of the Faithful. Family learning activities at the library

My name is Lisa, and I am a local TAFE student completing my Diploma of Library and Information Services.  I am also a casual team member with the City of Kalamunda Library services.

I am reaching out to the primary schools in the City of Kalamunda to invite your school community to participate in a survey regarding Family learning activities at the library.

Recently Kalamunda Library Services have partnered with Communicare to offer a range of free parenting sessions at some of the library branches in the area. Sessions included topics such as “Parenting in a Digital World” and “The 5 Love Languages of Children”.

I would love to hear from families regarding what type of learning-based programs and activities they would like to see at their local library. Participation in this survey is anonymous. No personal identifying information will be recorded.
