Matthew Gibney Catholic Primary School would like to acknowledge the
Traditional Owners of the land, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation
and pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
Here is the land, here is the sky.
Here are my friends and here am I.
We thank the Whadjuk Noongar people
for the land on which we play and learn.
Hands up, hands down
We’re on Noongar ground.
Dear Parents, Friends, Staff, and Students
First Reconciliation
Please keep the Year 3 students, and their families, in your prayers as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time on Wednesday 20 September. The students have been working hard with Ms Curley, and their parents, to prepare to receive the sacrament. It is an exciting time for the students as they take this next step in their faith journey with God.
Loving God, help us to teach our children that you love us totally and unconditionally.
Help us to encourage our children to grow in love and to learn how to say sorry, knowing that you always forgive.
Give us the courage to pray with our children and to share our faith with them as we journey together.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
