Dear Parents, Friends, Staff and Students
What a wonderful day we had on Sunday at our parish and school anniversary celebration lunch! It was great to see so many of our families come along and join in with our parish community. The parishioners of St Francisof Assisi provided us with a delicious international lunch which was enjoyed by all those who came along. I am so grateful to our parishioners for their dedication to our school. Special thanks to Clare Arnold, and the organising committee, for their preparation and hard work towards ensuring such a successful event.

P&F Association and Matthew Gibney Catholic School Advisory Council Nominations 2022
Parents are encouraged to begin to think about nominating for a position of the School Advisory Council and the P&F Executive in 2022. Voting information will be sent home to all families next week. Please come and have a chat, should you require further information about a position on either of these essential school committees.
I recently came across this reflection that reminded me to slow down and focus on those things that bring joy and love in life. God has given us so many blessings living here in WA and I hope these words can speak to you in some small way.
Barely the day started and it’s already six in the evening.
Barely arrived on Monday and it’s already Friday.
.. and the month is already over. .. and the year is almost over.
.. and already 40, 50 or 60 years of our lives have passed.
So.. Let’s try, despite everything, to enjoy the remaining time.
Let’s keep looking for activities that we like.
Let’s smile at the little things in life that put balm in our hearts.
Let’s try to eliminate the afters..
I’m doing it after. I’ll say after. I’ll think about it after.
We leave everything for later like ′′ after ′′ is ours.
Because what we don’t understand is that:
Afterwards, the coffee gets cold.
Afterwards, priorities change.
Afterwards, the kids grow up.
So.. Let’s leave nothing for later.
Because still waiting to see later, we can lose the best moments, the best
experiences, best friends, the best family.
The day is today. The moment is now.
It Looks Like An Eternity,
But It’s A Short Trip,
Enjoy Life And Always
Be Kind.
I look forward to welcoming parents to the Merit Award Assembly on Friday.
Best wishes for the week ahead.
