Making Jesus Real Week 5 Term 3
FRIENDSHIP
This fortnight, we are looking again on the value of friendship. As part of our MJR lessons we learn that true friends don’t expect anything in return for your friendship.
Friends like you for who you are and they expect the same in return. Friends help us make better, the company of our friends makes us forget our sorrows and any unwanted pressure. Plus, we can openly ask our friends for suggestions on how to solve our personal problems and they would be glad to help us out.
MILO MONDAYS GOING ONLINE
Thank you to the families who took advantage of the online ordering system for our Milo Mondays. Orders need to be made before 8am on Monday. The system works the same as our canteen online ordering.
We are also trialing Milo at recess on Mondays. If you can’t make it in the morning, come and grab one at recess.
WINTER CLOTHING APPEAL
Families are encouraged to donate any unwanted clean clothes to the Vinnies Winter Appeal.
Please bring your donations to the foyer area of the main teaching block and place in the clothing bin.
Our bin will be available for 2 weeks (16th – 30th August).
SAVE THE DATE! Parish School Lunch – Gift from the Parishioners of St Francis of Assisi Parish.
The parishioners of St Francis of Assisi Parish have decided to gift the school with a school and parish community lunch on Sunday 17th October to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The parish are arranging a luncheon for all members of the school and parish community. Families are encouraged to come along and enjoy this most generous gift from the parish.
Parent Intentions and Enrolments for 2022
Each year we have families discontinue their enrolment at Matthew Gibney Catholic Primary School, for a variety of reasons. In order for us to allocate places to families who are currently on a wait list for the 2022 school year, I request that families who either know they will be moving, or those families who are thinking about a possible move, to please let the school know as soon as possible. It is important that we can offer some certainty to parents who would like their child to attend our school in 2022.
Pre-Primary Good News
Pre-Primary have been learning about their place in space in Geography. We made globes and our houses!
