Jun 30, 2022

It has been my pleasure to read through the Semester One reports for students from Pre-Primary to Year Six. Our students have worked hard during the semester and their progress is pleasing to see.  Parents will receive a SMS message on Thursday letting you know the reports are available.  Please take the time to celebrate your child’s successes and achievements with them.

Week of Wellness

Thank you for embracing WOW!  The students and staff certainly enjoyed the activities during the week.  Please continue to send in photographs that we can share of family activities enjoyed during the Week of Wellness.

We look forward to welcoming Diane Scriven back to school in Term Three. Di has enjoyed her leave and is looking forward to returning.

In Term Three we welcome Susan Donaldson as Friday Pre-Kindy Teacher.  We wish Susan all the best as she commences her teaching career.

Best wishes to piano tutor, Mary Doyle.  Mary leaves us at the end of this term to pursue musical interests.  Thank you to Mary for her dedication towards the music program over the past 18 months.

P&F Fire Wood Raffle

The P&F Fire-Wood Raffle has been another successful fund-raising venture, raising in excess of $500.  Thank you to Adam Bennetts, the P&F committee and parents and friends for organising and supporting the raffle. Congratulation to Hudson for winning the fire-wood raffle for his very happy Grandad.

Easter Play

Congratulations to Mrs Aldred, staff and students for a wonderful performance of the Easter Play.  Although this was a belated performance, due to COVID disruptions, the significance of the play for our Christian community is always relevant.  The play represents the saving power of God, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, and was a moving experience for all involved.

We are currently accepting enrolments for the Pre-Kindegarten Program in 2023.  Parents are encouraged to complete applications for the program as soon as possible.  Please let friends or neighbours know that we are accepting enrolments and to contact the administration office for details if they are interested in enrolling.

Milo Mornings

Thank you for supporting the Year 5 Mini Vinnies as they raise funds for the St Vincent De Paul Association with their Milo Mornings. The Year 5 students enjoy organising the milo mornings as an opportunity to build their social justice awareness.

Term Three Planner

A Term Three Planner accompanies this newsletter. Please keep a copy somewhere handy to keep yourself informed about events throughout the term.

School Jumpers

I am pleased to let families know that Mrs Denys has organised sleeve lining for the winter school jumpers.  A number of children find the jumpers itchy and irritating.  We hope the sleeve inserts will alleviate this problem.  Please contact Mrs Denys in the Uniform shop if you would like to take a look at the sleeve lined jumpers and give one a try. Mrs Denys is available to add the sleeve lining to existing purchased jumpers. The uniform shop is open each Thursday morning.
